So if I am buying new toyota, should I choose 1,6 or something bigger? I don't know quite if 1,6 would be powerfull enaugh. Can't realy decide..maybe Mazda 6 is the way to go.

R2dad - Toyota has indicated that the engine bay is large enough to go up to a 1.6 liter engine (I guess based on their current blocks). The bay cannot be as big as the Scion xD, which accommodates the 1.8 shared with the Corolla. I don't think a 1.4 would work over here, even the 1.5 VVT-i used in the Yaris, which is considered their upscale racer motor in other countries, is "just" adequate over here; don't forget a lot of these get sold with power sapping automatics, too.

With a 1.6 liter engine - even the current 1.5 from the Yaris - this thing could rock. It would be reminiscent of my 1988 Honda CRX 2 door, 2 seater "hatchback coupe" - but a lot safer, quicker, and possibly even better handling (I hope they include stability control standard).
I am not keen on an 88 inch wheelbase, but that has worked on other cars before.
Sure would be a conversation piece, and the ultimate "urban car-cyle."

The tC currently has a 2.4L mill, providing 160hp. Since the IQ looks like an angry hornet, shouldn't they go with the 1.4L as standard, with the 2.4L optional (as well as that bolt-on supercharger they used to offer thru TRD)?
