VW Phaeton anyone? I think Hyundai should look at VW's example and take more deliberate, plodding steps to creep up the luxury ladder. I can't help but believe the Equus is doomed if Hyundai places any volume expectations on it. I suppose we'll see...

This is a hot car for an amazing low price, I am guessing this does even better for them then the Genesis

Wow, this looks kind of like that next-gen Infiniti Q that never arrived. Look to Hyundai to pick it up and make it their A game.

A Hyundai competes with a Mercedes or Lexus? Hyundai just isn't in the same league-this is a wanna be.

Surprised to see Hyundai is building a better engine than the Germans. All power to them.

Front end not as ugly as Genesis, Hyundai is totally on a roll. But that Phaeton comparison does kind of stick in my mind. Hmmmm. I think Hyundai has way better marketers than VW & understands the U.S. buyer much better than VW ever did (and probably ever will). Less German arrogance more Korean drive to keep hitting on it til they get it right.

The S class and 7 series are great cars no doubt, but lets face it $80K has got to be the at least part of the reason people buy them. Because they can and they like what that says about them. Selling a comparable Hyundai for $30k less seems to me like it won't be a winning strategy for that market, but who knows.
