Tail lights are are to big and cheap looking, sheet metal just looks cheap where it bulges on the sides, front end is tired. Come on Chevy lets keep the momentum up and not slack off now. The Tahoe, now thats the look and that needs updating.

After I finished my Jimmy last week. I went and test drove a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0L. I felt like it was dogging for power for some reason I know they are powerful but I didn't get the feel that my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD had. It felt slow and weak to me so I didn't buy it.

I think the more of the 88-98 styling should be placed in the trucks because of the aerodynamics and how good the look.I remember when the 99-02 model began production I was like what is GM thinking the only thing I liked was the size. Then the 03-07 model appeared and i thought this is a ugly truck but roomy again. The new model made me hate the designers and turned me to favor the new Ram series pickups.I also believe the legendary 5.7L 350 should return and replace the 5.3 L 325 and the gas 6.6L 400 should return and replace the 6.0L 366 on the 1500 and 2500 pickups and the 7.4L 454 as a gas alternative for the the duramax on the 3500 but a turbocharged 6.6L also for heavy duty trucks.I would to see the return of the blazer and jimmy aslo

why is everyone talking bad about chevy's most recent design. it looks great!

  • JC Posted: 2/7/2011 6:02pm PST

GM trucks are just plane boxy. And please do not go the way of Tundras. What is the deal with this fat macho bulk of a truck. Go back to the 2007 classic design or 2004-06.

  • Ken Posted: 11/26/2010 5:33am PST

I'm sorry Paul but I have to disagree with you. It's definitely a matter of opinion and personal preference but the angled headlights on the pre 07 silverados made the trucks look Chinese. Those were the words of a Chevy salesman in Albany NY that I spoke to last month and I completely agree with him.

  • Paul Posted: 11/24/2010 11:11am PST

I am not too fond of the newly redesigned Chevrolet Silverado. What Chevy should have done is look at the competition's design, (Ford, Dodge). I would normally go for a Chevy, but if I had to choose, I would probably say Dodge. Dodge has more HP and more Torque than Chevy or Ford, even though The price of the ram is right in between the F150 and Silverado.
The interiors of all three are comparable, just not the exterior. I must say that I am rather disappointed in Chevy with their Pickup trucks. I feel like they had to come up with a new design for 2007, so thew this hot mess together. Somebody must have been high. The angled headlights in the 2006 model however, are very distinguished and they look great.
Ford, lower your prices. Other than that, keep up the good work Ford and Dodge. Anything foreign, I just don't care for you.

Also, Mr. Clay, a good friend of mine, who happens to own three Chevy dealerships, and I were talking about the new GM pickups a couple of months ago. He said that GM reps have been telling them that the new GM pickup is being kept under tight raps, because it will not look like anything we have seen before. They allow that you will know it is a Chevy/GMC, but it will set a new standard in pickup design. I hope the are telling the truth because I am tired of them carrying over too many design cues for decades.

'Ray Aubin' why would you call 'david organ' an idiot?? You are clearly the idiot! Yes, the GMC and Chevy are the same powertrain, interior, inner bed, tailgate, doors, but the HOOD, GRILL, HEADLIGHTS, BUMPER, FENDERS, QUARTER PANELS are different!! They DO look different and yes, the GMC IS A BETTER LOOKING TRUCK!! I have a 2006 Silverado with a Duramax, 1994 Silverado Z71 and a 2008 Silverado(wifes) and I wish she had bought a GMC instead because it looks great!

  • mako Posted: 10/9/2010 3:07pm PDT

The Silverado crew needs to upgrade from midget space in the rear to seating to full size adult..like Ford and Toyota.

  • longshotkc Posted: 3/18/2010 9:43am PDT

Chevy needs to get a better interior. A flow through console w/floor shift would be nice. Everyone else has figured out that we like a truck to work like a truck should and still give some cruise comfort and sport feel of a car. Cmon chevy...you make it and I will buy it.

  • Rik Posted: 3/4/2010 4:25am PST

I hope they make some changes for the GM trucks, such as the Silverado's front bumper-bumper "ends" look bad, only helps some if they have the driving lights.
Not crazy about the flared fenders on either GM truck, would rather see a type of composite flare, that being a material that would not be a source of corrosion from stone chips and the like.
    Only time will tell.

  • Ray Aubin Posted: 2/8/2010 9:56am PST

You idiot the Sierra is the same truck as the silverado. I bought my 08 silverado i didnt like it at first but I think they did a terrific job designing it cant wait for the new body style

  • david organ Posted: 1/7/2010 10:33am PST

the chevy silverado is an ugly truck. The GMC TRUCK on the other hand is not a bad looking truck. The silverado's grille is too wide with the headlights too far out on the corners.they should redesign the grille in 2011.I would not buy a silverado.

I actually like both but the Silverado to me has a bit more style then the Serria. Totally a personal preference.
Now the just reviled "GMC Sierra All Terrain HD 4×4 Off Road Concept Vehicle" is totally off the charts drop dead gorgeous. "I WANT ONE".

  • Joseph Mendoza Posted: 11/16/2009 11:39pm PST

I was just wondering if anywhere in the next 2 or 3 years if Chevy was planning on bringing back to life the Silverado SS anytime soon?
