    If they're going to keep Mercury as brand, the first step should be to re-design the logo, because—as it is right now—it stands for nothing. They should look at the assortment of winged figures from the past and develop them further. Something appealing ought to emerge with a little work and effort. And I'm not talking about kitschy, retro efforts like what Chrysler did with the Plymouth logo shortly before the brand's disappearance; I'm talking about something tasteful and packed with content.
