well seeing as the 2008 durango MRSP starting price is 28K and acording to this the 2009 hybrid is 45K almost a 20K difeance. I was looking into the hybrid to save on fuel cost, 20K will buy alot of gas. I need something that can carry alot of people I have a family of 5 and as a man I don't want to drive a minivan and they cost almost as much. So this leaves me with some dificult choices to make as far as buying a new vehicle.

Not sure what to make of it but a 4-cylinder hybrid PT Cruiser would make a lot more sense. How about competing with Toyota instead of taking on GM to see who can lose more money first (Aren't they losing up to 10K on each one of these hybrid SUVs?)
