    "Eurovans"

For those that appreciate VW vans but are looking for a eurovan chicago, let me recommend the Vanagons. we’re indestructable - even by vanagons standards.

These aren't that 'new' to me, back in the 50s they were called sedan wagons or delivery sedans. Ford and Chevy had loads of 'em. Back then they were a smaller version of panel vans. When I was a kid in Detroit, vans meant delivery or service vehicles not passenger vehicles, of course that has changed in the USA, but not in Europe. I would think the Transit (and by the way John, Transit is a name for a range of Ford vehicles) would do well in N. America - but as others have said with a diesel. Good luck Ford - you need it!

    Tony In Canada:

You are talking about the Transit. Those are big. This is the Transit Connect. The only thing the Transit and Transit Connect have in common is the name. The Transit Connect is no bigger than a short wheelbase Dodge Caravan.

I could see these competing w/ the Scion tB (the boxy one) if Ford gives these a sporty trim package - and a would also be useful as small work vans if they bring over the panel version.

I just got back from Europe, and these are everywhere over there. Virtually all of the ones I saw were diesels, so I'd be shocked if they didn't bring them over. The picture doesn't depict how large these things can actually be, even though they're front-drivers. The biggest are tall enough to stand in.

The Transit Connect is considerable smaller than the Sprinter. Ford does however have a van of the same size as the Sprinter and is simply called Transit in Europe not Transit Connect.

Will it have a diesel engine like the Sprinter? If it just has a gas engine, it will not be competitive.
