Lamborghini Miura should not be rebuilt. The legendary status that the Miura has attained would be tarnished by this ugly remake. The proportions, odd angles, horribly misshapen front spoiler, all collaborate to create a car that is not only unattractive, but an insult to the beauty of the original. This year I got rejected for press attendance so I can't tell you what it looks like in person, but in pictures its really, really bad.

If Lamborghini wanted to make a splash, recreate the original Miura using its ORIGINAL body work with modern mechanicals. Especially the transmission, which was noted in its day for its clunky and cantankerous nature. Modern suspension and brakes would round out the bill. Then Lamborghini/Audi would have a vehicle that every high roller in the entertainment and sports arenas, along with the upper echelon of society would be clambering for. Not to mention the press corps. and the little car guys and gals who like me will do anything to be around cars so that they can wet themselves with desire.
