    Um no, american car companies have been building crap for years. If it wasn't for Japanese and European car companies we'd still be driving those same shitboxes from years back. I will never buy a car from gm chrysler or ford. I will buy cars from any japanese company and any european company. If I had my say in it, I would of voted NO on any car company getting a bail out...but there was no vote.

    reason american manufactures are laying off americans and creating plants elsewhere aswell as using more and more crappy foreign parts is to compete with the japanese manufactures. how else can they compete with toyota's slave labor and cheap quality, percieved to be the best? you are responsible for their stuggling and anyone else with a mind set like you.

    As US manufacturers include more and more foreign content, at what point are they selling us a foreign car? As they are owned more and more by global corporations (who siphon income overseas to avoid taxes), at what point are they no longer American?
    And just how do we find out this info?
