Ferrari F430 Scuderia On Sale in ‘08

Ferrari’s newest berlinetta, the 430 Scuderia, made its North American debut at last week’s auto show inLos Angeles.

The Scuderia is the ultimate performance version of the F430, which already has a respectable 490 hp. The Scuderia offers more performance with its 4.3-liter V-8 engine, tuned in this iteration to produce 20 additional horsepower. With a noticeably low power-to-weight ratio, the F430 Scuderia sprints from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, Ferrari says.

According the Maurizio Parlato, President and CEO of Ferrari North America, the new Scuderia has a racing soul that symbolizes the excitement and passion that tifosi expect.

We’ll hold our breath until they let us drive one — which won’t be anytime soon, since only 250 copies of the 430 Scuderia will be available in 2008.
