For customers who demand the highest levels of personal protection, Rolls-Royce has launched an armored version of the Phantom.

Engineered to VR7 level, the highest international protection rating, the luxury sedan is virtually identical to the standard car both inside and out. Hi-tech fiber composites and special steel provide protection for the bodywork, while the windows are made from thickened glass.

The Phantom’s aluminum spaceframe chassis and suspension components have been strengthened to cope with the additional weight of the modifications. The powertrain remains unchanged,

The cars will be built at the Goodwood factory in the UK , but the armoring process will be carried out off-site by an approved coachbuilder.

Customers will be able to order Phantom Armoured from Rolls-Royce dealers.
