Ford Awarding Fifty Edges Nationwide

Ford is trying a novel TV-related approach to pushing its new Edge crossover vehicle. The automaker will give away fifty Edges, one in each state, in a promotion tied to the hit ABC TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The show returns this year for its fourth season, with host Ty Pennington and a cast of contractors, designers, and builders. In the show, families are chosen from submissions and have their lives transformed with a new or extensively remodeled home.

The show’s mission over the next two seasons is to remake a home in each of the 50 states. And in tandem, Ford’s “Edge Across America” is doling out crossovers to each new home owner. Ford will also select one winner from all 50 for an “Extreme Garage Makeover.”

The first family to get their home and their Edge are the Joneses from Mississippi. Their episode airs on April 8. More details can be found at http://www.edgeacrossamerica.com.
