How much saran-wrap would it take to cover a Volvo XC 70?

My neighbor got a new Volvo XC70 when she got her license, and for an April Fools joke, I want to completely cover her car in saran-wrap making it impossible for her to get in. How much should I use and how much will it cost?

  • 37 rolls and 120 dollars. Read More
  • Haha that is going to be so funny! You know that Aprils Fools Day isn't until like 6 months, but that is good you are planning ahead:) Well it all depends on how many layers you are planning on doing I would say use 2-3 of those GINORMOUS saran-wraps that you get at like Sam's Club or Costco. That is about 30 dollars... Read More
  • It would be cheaper to get some of the clear protective wrapping that they use on furniture during a move. You should be able to get that at any uhaul dealer or at an office supply. Saran Wrap is expensive and not nearly as strong as the furniture wrap.
  • I would use bubble wrap. and shipping tape, Price minimal, reaction priceless Reference:E-bay seller
  • 37 rolls and 120 dollars.

Other Choices:

The 2008 Volvo XC70 is very similar in size to Subaru’s Outback, another wagon that adds ground clearance and enough off-road ability for deep snow or rutted trails. Compared to the XC70, the Outback starts at a much more affordable price, and while its base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine provides only modest performance, the Outback feels sportier than the XC70 with either the turbocharged or six-cylinder engine. Other alternatives to the XC70 are mid-size crossover vehicles—those that pair the tall body of an SUV with the underpinnings of a car, such as the Lexus RX 350 and Acura MDX. The RX 350 and MDX are both very refined with a smooth ride and good handling; the MDX feels a little sportier behind the wheel, while the RX 350 is the choice for those looking for high-tech features. All of the vehicles mentioned have very good results in crash tests, with the MDX designated an IIHS Top Safety Pick for 2008.
