How do I get about 20 more HP out of a 2.2 liter Toyota?

  • based on the age of the car.... it's more like how to get back 20 hp or so you lost due to age. Chip isn't going to do anything on that old of a 5S-FE motor. It is timed by a distributor.   • I have a 1994 Corolla with 203,000 mi. I put new Monroe-Matic struts and Tein springs on it and it handles great! rip off constrictive air intake and put a high flow one on. This will gain a couple mpg and sound good!
