Why does that Toyota Prius commercial make me want to find a weed wacker?

Makes me angry every time I see it.

  • Because all the people dressed up like the environment etc.. are doing some sort of interpretive gay dance or something. That commercial makes me want to mow the grass also. Maybe because the Prius is gay and they are trying to market it toward other gays? Read More
  • Cause every time you see the ad, you are reminded of the Prius sitting in the passing lane doing 10 or 20 under the speed limit.
  • I get the same feeling during most commercials - but, I agree, this one ranks right up there with "Ask your doctor if ............is right for you."

The high-mileage fuel economy derby has one big name--the Toyota Prius--and a couple of interesting competitors. The Honda Civic Hybrid approaches the Prius's fuel economy numbers, but has a little less interior room. The Volkswagen Jetta gets a new clean-diesel option later this year, and it could have fuel economy of up to 50 mpg or more on the highway--along with a much richer interior and a more conventional sedan shape.
