I was thinking of buyingI 2007 Mazda CX-7 , I heard that it using only premium gas, is this true.?

I also heard that the 2008 using regular gas.

  • I've got a 96 Chevy Tahoe with a V8 and I've used regular in it for years now without a single problem. I think they always put that vehicles with bigger engines, but most will run just fine on regular or midgrade. It's something you'll have to try and then if you start to hear pings etc. go to a higher grade.
  • I'm not sure about the 2008. However, for the 2007. you definitely want to use premium gas in them. With the higher performance engine and turbo system - you're going to want to feed it well to get continued good performance.
  • YOU HAVE TO USE PREMIUM!!!! Its not just something they tell you, IT WILL SCREW UP YOUR ENGINE!!!! Its basically because of the turbo. I love my CX-7. When the need comes we are trading it in for a CX-9 later in the future. Love my Mazda!!
