How is the performance of 2007 Mazda RX-8 with Auto Transmission? Is it very slow or decent acceleration?

  • If you buy an RX-8, get a stick. It's one of the very best gearbox I've ever used. The acceleration is decent, but it shines when you take it into corner or listen to its sweet engine fly up to 8k RPM. I've heard only negatives about the automatic. Apparently the manual is the only way to go.

  • Its decent but pales in comparison to its manual counterpart. This thing was made to rock and roll, as the one guy said 2nd and 3rd are the best gears and in an automatic.. *boring*. lol. Its not hard to drive a manual, and once you do you'll be glad you did... especially in this car.
