I have 2009 dodge challenger & when the car is running the front seats gets hot, But the car does not have heated seats. what's a problem & what should I do? I don't have heated seat on my car but the seats in front gets hot. How can I fix it?

  • You actually DO have heated seats. It's not an option on that car it's factory standard equipped. You didn't get a choice. Read your owners manual and learn how to turn them off. • The SRT8 comes standard with heated seats, optional in others. See page 117 of your owner manual for operation. On newer cars, the wiring is included for a lot of optional items, and it could be that heated seats were installed and wired with no provision to turn them off.
  • did it come with the option of heated seats in it,if it did you may have them on,if not its the exhaust making them get hot,and their not built cheap, good car for the price of them, good luck. Reference:been a certified mechanic for 38 yrs now.
  • Did Dodge get cheap and start running the exhaust pipes in the seats for a new alternative to heated seating?

Other Choices:

Sporty cars like the 2009 Dodge Challenger invite paper comparisons where horsepower, torque, and available performance options rise to the top of the priorities list. This focus on performance limits the Challenger's competition to its two historical competitors (Mustang and Camaro). Compared to these competitors, the Challenger's trunk is larger at 16.2 cubic feet, and it does have marginally more rear seat room, although none of these cars offers a truly roomy backseat.
