2005 Ford Escape key will not come out of ignition?

The steering wheel will not lock and the key doesn't come out. Tried the moving steering wheel up & down to get it to lock but this does not work.

  • Up and Down? Did you do side to side, make sure the shifter is all the way up. Most time this is the cause, could be the tumber lock messed up. Means you will need to drill it out and install new one and rekey it. Reference:Ford Tech 17 Yrs ASE Master Tech Read More
