Should have I bought an 02 Audi a4 1.8T with 138000 miles?

I bought it for 7500$ and I'm regreting it. Can someone tell me if I made a big mistake or should I keep it...

  • I have an Audi A4 with a 1.8L turbo engine. I also sell engines for a living. The 1.8L turbo engine is very expensive to maintain. The sensors on this car are known to go with a regularity not seen in other vehicles (Mass Air Flow sensor - I recommend you clean it). The 1.8L turbo engine is very prone to sludge. I... Read More
  • what's wrong with it? they are very good cars but need regular maintenance at a specialist or audi dealer, american mechanics just don't have a clue in servicing high performance european models like audi BMW, mercedes jaguar etc. Matthew N is typical in his ignorance all the meters and gauges on audis are made by... • Sorry, but that is way way to much mileage. A 2002 should have at least 80,000-90,000 miles on it. • You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net
  • You made a mistake and you'll probably lose less money now if you sell it than if you keep it for a year.

Other Choices:

The 2009 Audi A4’s chief rivals are the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The BMW 3-Series is perhaps the most popular, though in its current edition, it’s become heavier and quite expensive, yet its turbocharged in-line six offers brilliant power. The Mercedes C-Class has more capable handling than before, but rear-seat room is still cramped and its interior styling a little complex. The Infiniti G35 sports BMW-like handling with a distinctly Japanese flair, while the Cadillac CTS is perhaps GM’s best effort yet, with remarkable European-style handling, ample V-6 power, and a world-class entertainment system.
