is it normal for my 2007 toyota camry to shake?

  • It's not fine it sounds like it's misfiring. That's pretty shitty for them to tell you it's "normal" just because it's a 4 cylinder. Take them for a ride until it does it and make them fix it. It's their job to find problems like this and fix them before they become something serious. Read More
  • It's not normal. Toyota wouldn't sell many cars if they all shook. The idle speed probably needs to be higher. There is no adjustment because idle speed is controlled by the computer. It could be a faulty sensor that's just not bad enough to trigger a fault code. Take it to another dealer.
  • Most Toyota's are unstable because of the warped design lines and cutting on their vehicles. their cars have strange shapes and they put in small 4 cylinder engines which are not capable of pulling a heavy Camry. But they will see you anything if you buy it.
  • could be bad engine mounts or idle speed too low. four cyls do have some shake at low speeds. if it goes away when you speed up - dont worry about it all is ok. they have expanded 4 cyl displacement beyond reasonable size. some shake is un avoidable.
  • i would have a good friend check your timing. It is not normal. a phone call to auto zone would do it. Auto parts store Reference:me
