I might buy a 2001 mazda 626 but it has over 170k miles on it. will it still last a year or 2?

the car is in perfect shape its just the mileage im worried about

  • See if the oil was changed regularly as well as the air filter. If it runs good and doesn't make any noise out of the ordinary it will probably last to 250,000. Also, you may want to find out when the timing belt was changed. If not recently see if the current owner will do it or lower the price. Read More
  • It all depends on what kind of care the previous owner took of the car. I have a friend that travels a lot in his Mazda and it has 360,000+ miles on it. But he takes perfect care of it. It still runs better than some of the newer cars that the are putting out today.
  • test drive it If you here some noise ask him or her about the noise and check the engine
