Have a 2002 jeep liberty with a bad 3.7 engine can I use a motor of a different year newer than 2002?
Engine blew a rod through the side of the valve cover and trying to replace 2002 are hard to find 2003 and above are out there but will they work?

Yes you can. I replaced my 2002 Ford Focus engine with a 2003 engine and it worked just fine. It doesn't matter as long as the engines are the same size (i.e. 3.7 liter) and they have the same sensors; which they do. Read More
