What do i do about a 4x4 and buying new tires?

  • no, you are really supposed to get all four replaced at once because the new tread on the front ones will make the back two ride slightly different which can cause really bad and quick wear on them. Reference:experience
  • You only need to replace the 2, the shop is trying to sell you 2 more that you don't need right now. Go to another shop and just buy 2 -245/65/r17 tires.
