  • Take the housing off again, lay it on a flat surface to check if it is warped. If it is warped you it will not lay flat. If it is warped you can file or grind it flat, don't grind too much.   • Usual cause is incorrect installation. Some thermostats go under the gasket and some go on top of the gasket. AND, it DOES matter which side of thermostat is UP. Not familiar with YOUR vehicle, so don't know which way it goes.
