Dodge Caliber Check Engine Light?

I have a 2007 dodge caliber and the check engine light just came on. I went to auto zone and they said it was evap. emission code. I am giving it a few days to see if it goes off but the beeping is really annoying. Anyone know how to make it stop?

  • just make sure your gas cap is on good and tight that's the number one cause of the check engine light coming on today's cars is people not getting the cap back on right,if you,ll tighten the cap the beeping will stop on it,good luck. • Make sure your gas cap is on tight. The gas tank is part of the evaporative emission circuit and loose or defective caps are a common reason for the light coming on.

Other Choices:

Each of these vehicles has very different styling and design inside and out, except the Vibe and Matrix, which are mechanically identical to each other. The Kia Spectra5 should be a better choice than the Dodge Caliber if you're looking for better handling and a peppier driving feel; the Versa also handles well without any sacrifice in ride quality. Its competitors have to make far fewer trips to the gas station, but none of this field gets top marks in safety across the board.
