BMW convertible issues?

Hi I have a 2005 BMW 3 series and just recently my convertible top won't go down. Everytime I press the convertible button an orange light flashes. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Also I cleaned out my trunk and it still would not go down?

  • The only thing that I can recommend to a non-mechanic is to check if the "shelf" inside the trunk is in its proper position to accomodate the soft top when it is stowed inside.   • it might be an electrical problem, take it to the shop have a mechanic check it out if it is electrical u might not wanna mess with it your self you could get zapped
