should i use royal purple?

i keep hearing royal purple is a high grade oil, should i start using it in my 1984 dodge ram wagon

  • it is good oil but its not really worth the asking price of it, like the above answer said mobil one is just as good and a lot cheaper to buy and last just as long,i tried it one time and to me there wast much more difference in it than mobil one,good luck with it.   • Its expensive as well and not worth it. Just go with Mobil 1 full synthetic if you want synthetic. Reference:experience
  • I use Royal Purpul in the rear ends and gear boxes and Diffs of all my dodge trucks, and valvoline for the oil changes
  • Depending whether or not you have a class C. I have a V61/2 .23 and it does real good with the royal purple.
