i was wondering if you guys thought that a 1998 Camaro V6 that had 136,100 miles on it is bad. does it have alot of life left in the engine? or is it dead already? the guy is selling it for 3,450$ Thanks, what do you guys think?

• The 3.8 V6 in the 1998-2002 Camaro was solid as a rock. As long as it was decently maintained, 136,000 miles on the engine is not horrible. • If the engine is treated right it could go to 250,000 to 300,000 miles before needing anything major. Those 3.8 V-6's are on the top of alot of lists as a top rated engine for durability, and longevity. I would go for it, I had a buick with the same engine that had 285,000 miles on it, and I sold it three years ago... Read More
• If the miles on that engine were put their "nicely" then there's plenty of life left in that engine. At the least it should go to 200,000 before needing any serious engine work (head gasket, cylinder heads, transmission, etc). • My parents have owned 3 camaros, and that for that v6 the mileage is pretty good, it will last at least another 60000 miles, I think the price is a tad high
• i agree the price is too high for the amount of miles! doesn't the owner realize its a century old! lol
