how do you jump start a 2006 bmw 3 series with the battery in the trunk?

my friend ask me how to jump start his bmw but i didnt know what to say cause he is telling me that its in the trunk and its terminal positive and negative are covered in plastic???? what should i tell him thanks

  • Most automobiles that have remote mounted batteries like yous will have a jump start terminal under the hood. Look for a Red plastic cover with a "+" on it under the hood. Remove the cover, and connect that to the positive side jumper cable. The negative side goes to any unpainted metal under the hood.
