My 1989 Chevrolet Corvette sometimes has a problem starting, what could this be?

I have a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette with 67,000 miles. It sometimes has an issue starting up. It will turn over and immediately die. It usually takes a few more attempts and it will start up fine. It doesn't happen all time. I just replaced the fuel injectors and did a tune up... Read More

  • Was this problem evident before changing the injectors and tune-up? It sounds to me like the fuel in the line is returning back into the fuel tank after it is shut off. • Clean the iac, iac passage and throttle body with some carb or fuel inj cleaner. Incidentally, if you ever have to replace fuel pump on that thing, you're in luck, as that's the easiest in tank GM pump to change. A far cry from the brutal camaro pump change.

For more than a decade, the Corvette's arch nemesis has been the Dodge Viper. The ultimate Dodge boasts an 8.4-liter V-10 engine pumping out an even 600 horsepower. The standard Viper aligns most closely with the Z06 Corvette. The Viper humbles the standard Corvette but is outgunned by the ZR1. Unlike years past, in 2009 there's a new competitor: the formidable Nissan GT-R. With 480 horsepower backed by an all-wheel-drive system and sophisticated electronics, the GT-R has proven itself worthy.
