Toyota venza or highlander? 10 POINTS?
Which one has a smoother ride? And why? Im looking for a suv or crossover with the most smooth ride....i like both of these!!

We have a first generation Highlander and then and now I think it is based on the Camry chassis and is only beefed up slightly over the Camry. Ours has been flawless but we are very true to the maintenance schedule. The Venza has been nicknamed the Camry Wagon by many people because it is essentially a Camry with a... Read More

Toyota Highlander or Rav4 would be a better choice than venza. Highlander is better with features and it also comes in Hybrid. It is a bit pricey but I think it pays off with the style and comfort.

The Highlander will have a smoother ride because it doesn't ride as low to the ground. But if you don't need the 3rd row I like the Venza better.

We have a Highlander, which is based on a truck chassis (even thought of as a "truck" by insurance company) and the ride is a little noticeably rough, although not as much as a Tacoma...no knowledge of Venza. Take both for test rides over bumpy roads :}

Other Choices:
The 2009 Toyota Venza seems to be tailor-made for older drivers looking at crossovers and needing easy entry and exit and big gauges. The Nissan Murano is the opposite; it's racy, with less interior room and an emphasis on sporty handling. The Ford Edge is the oldest of this trio, and feels a little ponderous when driving—it's quite heavy—but has a smart, upright package that's also nicely conservative in appearance. Somewhere in the middle in terms of function—but off in left field in terms of design—is the Subaru Tribeca, which despite a smoothing-over for '08 is still quite polarizing. The Venza does offer one important feature that's not available on any of these competitors: a fuel-efficient four-cylinder engine.
