I have a 2006 Ford Taurus. I took it to the shop and their code machine said cylinders 1, 2, 3 are misfiring.?

It makes a noise coming from under the valve cap. Any thoughts on what might be the problem?

  • what kind of noise? tapping? pining? splashing? does it run smoothly or at idle does the engine jump a little? Gas mileage is a big indicator too for diagnosing. Has it changed? dropped?
  • Spark plugs fouled Piston rings Bad plug wires coil getting weak need valve job overhaul engine Too many things to name here. What you need is more diagnostics to discover exactly what is wrong. It may be more than one thing.
