Lexus LS 460 - first car for a 16 year old?

What do you think? How nice of a car is it? And also, I am very responsible and will definitely take great care of it. AND I AM NOT SPOILED. It's just that my entire family is REALLY into Lexus, and my uncle gave it to me as a birthday present because he was getting a new... Read More

  • The Lexus LS is too big, especially for a teen driver. It is a nice car, however, but there are nicer cars out there. It seems that you already own the car, but if you didn't, I would recommend the Audi TTS coupe. It is also very luxurious and sporty, but it is also very practical, fuel efficient, safe, and compact... Read More
  • If it were me, I would probably turn around and sell it, get a cheaper but still cool car, then keep the rest of the money. I currently have a Lexus SC400. They're look awesome (especially the 97+), they're pretty fast, plus you can get one for cheap. I'm a senior in college and I'm coming out with a ton of student... Read More
  • That is a wonderful car. That car is really for some one much older, i'm not sure if is is considered a "cool" car among people your age. If you don't care what people think, and you want a large, luxury sedan, than it is perfect for you. BTW, it's MSRP is over $60k so you're very lucky to get it.
  • It is a very nice car, especially for a 16 year old. It would usually be for some one much older than you, but nonetheless, consider yourself lucky to have one. Reference:Lexus LS Owner.
  • Well, I'm really jealous. A lot of people call the LS an old person's car, but as your young, it'll be cool to have a flagship luxury car. Once again, I'm jealous.

Other Choices:

The LS 460 is significantly cheaper than the 7-Series or S-Class. All-wheel drive is available in the S-Class and comes standard in the A8 but is not available in either the 7-Series or LS 460. The LS 460 has a straightforward instrument panel layout, without the use of a centralized, screen-driven interface like BMW's iDrive, which some drivers will appreciate. Each of these competitors has distinct designs inside (and outside) that arguably feel more lavish than the LS 460's simpler, more conservative style. Additionally, each rival offers high-performance variants, including the S8, the Alpina B7, and the S63 and S63 AMG, which the LS does not have. And instead of a V-12 flagship, as these three European sedans have, the LS has a gasoline-electric flagship called the LS 600h L.
