What is the life of the stock battery in a 2005 Scion xA?

I saw it was a Panasonic, but I don't know what model and how long it will last. It's been almost 5 years, but pepboys and autozone only stock Bosh and Duralast with 8 year batteries. Do I need to change my original yet?

  • change it when it goes bad....try advance and napa...i cant believe they dont have cheap [40 to 60 dollar] 3/4/5 yr batterys for that car. Reference:40 yr car guy
  • if it works no reason to fix it not bad no reason to replace it if its working why fix it most are good for 3 to 5 years some might last 15 some might last a couple but if it starts your car its not bad right spend your money on something you need
