Is a 2001 BMW 3 series a Good First Car?

  • I think their pretty descent looking because of its shape and like the rear view just looks pretty good but it doesn't compare to the new 2009 bmw 3 series that looks even better. I personally really like the 2009 bmw 335xi and I would like to buy one.
  • You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net
  • Depends on your definition of "good." It's a fun, cool car, but not particularly reliable, repair parts are insane (a new Mass Airflow Sensor is $140 for my 97 Regal GS, $120 for my ex-gf's 99' Mitsubishi Mirage, and $450 for my friend's BMW). Gas efficiency isn't so great either.
