2006 Scion xB gas mileage?

I bought a good, used xb. low mileage, well maintained. However, I am getting only about 23 mpg local driving (automatic). Any suggestions on how to improve that? Thanks.

  • air filter - oil filter - spark plugs - hell maybe even some fuel injector cleaner...or have it cleaned at a shop...i have a 2006 xB - running mostly highway/interstate...i get about 37-39mpg...usually on the street or around town I go down to about 33-35... also it may depend on your driving habits...don't floor it...   • try doing a tune up on it like change the spark plugs,air filter,oil stuff like that you should see an improvement
