what kind of fuel does the lexus lx 470 use?

  • 89-91 thats what I USE. my 2005 GX470 ( same engine) has 98k miles- no problem My 2006 LX470 uses 89-91 with 39k now- no problem. i work in the boonies where sometimes 89 is the highest. i have used tank-fulls of 87 too. you will feel the difference when you use 87, a little sluggish but no knocks.   • I believe that the User's manual says that it requires Premium fuel. The dealer often says that for all luxury cars, but it will run just fine on Regular. It would only be worth it to drop the cash for Premium if you needed "optimum" performance from your engine which isn't necessary for day-to-day driving purposes.
