  • If the gas cap is not closed tightly (about five clicks) it will activate your check engine light. Have AutoZone (or other chain parts store) read the code. They'll also turn off the check engine light. No charge. Reference:Been there. Done that. Read More

  • Your dealer's answer is not plausible. There are no codes for "air in the gas". They only thing they may have done is accidentally disconnected a hose under the hood while doing the service. Take the car to place such as Autozone that will read the code for free and tell you what it is and go from there. If it is an... Read More
  • Don't talk to anyone over the phone about the problem. You can take your car to your local auto parts store and most of them will run a diagnostic check on the computer and tell you exactly what's wrong with it at no charge.
