buying a 2004 Saab 9-3 2.0T?

i am thinking of buying a used 2004 Saab 9-3 2.0T, i have heared the 2003 have a lot of problems but were repaired in the 2004 model. Is this true, any advise from anyone would be apprecieated.

  • They are very pricey to work on. Whenever we take one on trade, we hear all the customer's "Saab" stories. Have it checked by your mechanic first. You'll be glad you did. Reference:I've been an auto dealer for 23 years.
  • I have a 2003 and have had virtually no problems with it at all (knock on wood).
  • SAAB = CRAP. Try Volvo.
