how to use a steptronic in a 1997 bmw 3 series?
there are 3 modes ; s, e and m s stands for sport and m for manual right? so does e stand for economical? how would i use the m? the gearbox allignment is park reverse neutral drive 3 2 1 there arent any levers or anything behind the steering wheel.

You DO NOT have a Steptronic gearbox. M (manual) mode simply means you can select and hold the gears on 1, 2 or 3.

you mean the part with 321? well 3 is for 10% uphill 2 is for any uphill road with more than 10% but less than 40% 1 is for mountain roads
