Is it possible to change a BMW M5's transmission from manual to automatic or automanual?

I am about to buy a BMW M5 with manual transmission and I was wondering if it is possible to convert it from manual to auto or automanual? If so, where can I get it done? How much will it cost?

  • NO don't do it, you'll completely screw up your tranny!!! My M5 has the SMG, so you can switch it between manual and automatic. If you get the SMG you could switch it around
  • auto manual ? Get this its alot better then the other 2 transmissions. $ 500.00 Complete installation. Get it done before its to late.

The newly minted Jaguar XF Supercharged is a few ticks slower, but it's far more handsome; a 500-horsepower XF-R is due in 2009. The Audi S6 has a massively powerful V-8, but it's still a step slower than the BMW.
