Hello, I have a 2007 Volvo xc90 Yesterday, I had a message pop up that tells me "Bulb Failure Position Light."?

The owners manual does not list a "position" bulb. And, as far as we can tell, no exterior light are out. Can you tell me what that is?

  • Volvo is notorious for bulb failure in the rear lamps. Actually it is a socket problem rather than a bulb problem. Try slamming the tailgate and it should jar it enough to cause the message to go away.
  • Exterior lamp is burnt out some where. Most usually one of the two bulbs in each tail lamp assembly
  • Turn all your lights on, including fog lights if you have them. And look around the car for a blown bulb.
