  • Gas struts can easily be recharged, for not alot of dollars. Ask a local mechanic about it, and if they use a particular person who recharges them. Read More
  • $550 seems awfully high to replace it. Take it to an independent repair shop and have them do it. Also, if you own a Lexus, expect to pay the price for the status.
  • try looking at the junk yard. They might have a totaled LS430.
