how do you fix on your tail lights surface starts peeling off on my 2001 PONTIAC AZTEK?

i have a 2001 Pontiac Aztek. The surface of my Tail lights started to peel off and make it looks nasty. I thought it is cheep to fix it instead of replace with newer ones, but what can I do to fix that?

  • If it looks like a "clear coat peel", you can try to use a plastic lens polishing kit to get it to look nicer. Since you're losing the coating on the lenses, you may have to work a little harder to get down to the plastic, and remove the nasty stuff. Its a lot of elbow grease, but you can get them to be fairly clear... Read More
  • Consider phoning a local salvage yard for a replacement. They're generally very inexpensive and not much more than trying to fix your original. Most salvage yards are connected to other yards, so if they don't have the part you need, they can get it shipped in.
