Where would the starter be located in a 2001 Chrysler Voyager?

My minivan wont turn over. The lights come on and it makes one click sound when I try to turn it over. How would I know if its the battery and not the starter or alternator?

  • the starter on this vehicle is located on the front side of the engine, under the exhaust manifold. it is bolted in with three 15mm headed bolts. 2 of these are from the starter side and one from the trans side. if you are replacing this, make sure that you disconnect the battery first. have fun Reference:40 years as...   • It's on the side of the motor next to the motor mount attaching to the cross member under the radiator. Reference:Chrysler tech. Ret.
