• Like any car from Europe, the parts are going to be more expensive and more exclusive. The S40 is essentially the same car as the Mazda3 which is a whole lot more affordable. I would personally recommend the Mazda3 unless there was something distinctive to the Volvo styling or design that you are partial to.
• Yes alot of complaints from 1994 and on. Timing Belts,and software upgrades. And they cost alot.
