It's only been around less than a year, but Jaguar's XKR is getting the Portfolio treatment as its XJ sedan sibling did last year.
As a Portfolio-ed model, the XKR stays with its supercharged, 4.2-liter V-8, which pushes it to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds in coupe form (5.0 seconds for the convertible).
The chief distinguishing features of the XKR Portfolio are mainly cosmetic. The front bumper is slightly reshaped, the hood gets louvers and the grille and side vents get metallic trim. Black is the color of choice, and 20-inch Cremona five-spoke wheels are fitted.
Behind the big wheels are new brakes - with front rotors almost two inches wider, pinched down upon with six-piston calipers, and four-piston calipers on the rear discs.
The XKR's sumptuous cabin gets aluminum trim or optionally, American walnut. The gear lever is trimmed in leather and metal, and the leather-trimmed cabin gets contrasting stitching. The audio system's speakers are supplied by Bowers & Wilkins.
Jaguar will take orders for the XKR Portfolio beginning this month.
