Mustangs are pretty entertaining out of the Ford chute – but who’s going to turn down a Roush-modified pony car with a 430-horsepower V-8 under the hood?

Not even Jack Roush himself. After driving a test car last year around NASCAR’s tracks, Roush decided on the final specs for the rousing new edition, down to its inky black paint. That car ended up on the auction block at Barrett-Jackson in January, after which Roush decided he’d build 100 copies for lucky owners.

The limited-edition ROUSH Stage 3 wears the last name BlackJack in its production version. And under the hood, it spins out 430 hp and 400 pound-feet from its “ROUSHcharged” supercharged V-8 engine. Other specs on the BlackJack include a new intake manifold, intercooler, and specially calibrated engine control module.

To announce to the rest of the world that this is a Mustang for the highly privileged bad ass, the BlackJack gets a 21-inch matte stripe down its center, a new aero body kit, aluminum trim under the hood, and a firmer suspension with tuned shocks, struts, and springs. Upgraded 14-inch front brakes and slotted rear rotors are added, too.

Inside the BlackJack flips out with special trim on its seats, new white electroluminescent gauges, a short-throw shifter with a black shifter ball and new floor mats, door sills, and other trim.

All 100 copies have been claimed, but if you’ve got the cash, maybe you can connect with Jack through his Web site or ring him at 800-59-ROUSH.
