Ford’s full-size pickup gets a number of updates for 2007, including a new grille on XLT and Lariat models; a new chrome grille surround on XLT models; an available FX2 Sport Package for 4x2 SuperCab and SuperCrew XLT models; an iPod jack for STX, XLT, FX, and Lariat trucks; E85/flex-fuel capability for the optional 5.4-liter V-8 engine; available Sirius satellite radio and DVD navigation; and six new exterior color choices — Pueblo Gold, Redfire, Dark Blue Pearl, Forest Green, and White Sand Tri-Coat. The best-selling F-Series continues to provide a full range of cab configurations, powertrains, payloads, and equipment levels to satisfy virtually any buyer’s needs. Standard and available engines include a 4.2-liter V-6, a 248-horsepower 4.6-liter V-8, and a 300-horsepower 5.4-liter V-8. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard, with a five-speed manual transmission available. The base V-6 will pull a 2200-pound trailer, while the top V-8 can haul 10,500 pounds. Max payload capacity is equally impressive at 3050 pounds. Regular Cab and SuperCab models include side access doors to reach the storage space behind the seats, while SuperCrew versions offer two rows of seating and four forward-swinging full-size doors. The Harley Davidson special-edition version remains available for 2007 and includes dark accents, billet-style grille insert with body color grille surround, eight-inch aluminum wheels (with 20-inch aluminum wheels optional), chrome exhaust tip, fog lamps, unique captain’s chairs with center console and floor-mounted shifter, body color front bumper, rear bumper, door and tailgate handles. The luxury-appointed King Ranch special edition is also available.
