A longer-wheelbase version of the Phantom sedan is reportedly on deck for calendar year 2007, along with other, yet-to-be-specified incremental improvements. This is a very large car already—more than two feet longer than a BMW 7-Series—with a curb weight of nearly 6,000 pounds, nearly the same as a new Lincoln Navigator. A 453-horsepower 6.7-liter direct-injection V-12 engine drives the rear wheels, providing impressive acceleration (0-60 in under six seconds) despite the vehicle's massiveness. It is built using an aluminum space frame and has an automatically adjusting air suspension, four-zone climate control, 20-inch wheels and an interior that can be custom-trimmed per the buyer's specifications with a variety of wood and leather accents.
